Aortic Aneurysm Symptoms

An aortic aneurysm is an aneuysm that happens along the aorta, the main blood vessel for the body. An aortic aneurysm is a weak and bulging area of the blood vessel, which is prone to rupture. If the aortic aneurysm grow too quickly, it will burst, causing major bleeding due to the amount of blood that is pumped through the major vessel. Slow forming aortic aneurysms may not rupture, but still should be treated if detected. An aortic aneurysm happens in two main parts of the body.
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm- the aneurysm occurs in the abdomen.
- Thoratic Aortic Aneurysm- the aneurysm occurs in the chest
While there are very few aortic aneurysm symptoms, there are still a few things to look out for. If you develop a pulsating near your navel, develop chest or abdominal tenderness, or experience back pain, you should seek medical attention.
